Hof ter Linden

Stately estate

The castle Hof ter Linden and its associated carriage houses was built by the noble family de Neuf in 1773. The complex is a splendid example of the neoclassical building style. The chateau in particular has a very well preserved interior.

The buildings are in a park domain of around 50 hectares where you can always come to hike or cycle. You enter the domain through an access lane lined with monumental linden trees. In the park behind the buildings you will find a pond with a gazebo, meadows and ancient forests. The park is surrounded by farmland in which there are paths that connect the whole with Fort 5: perfect for a long walk in the southern outskirts of Antwerp.

The role of Kempens Landschap

Our organisation has owned the castle domain since 2012 together with the municipality of Edegem and the Agentschap voor Natuur en Bos. In addition Kempens Landschap plays an important role in enhancing the domain and coordinating many projects that achieve this end.

Together, the owners want to restore and repurpose the castle and its coach houses. After restoration and refurbishing, the buildings will serve as a business club, B&B, restaurant, brasserie and event space.

A vision for sustainable management of the surrounding park and forest area has also been drawn up. Step by step, this area is also being organised so that everyone can enjoy it.
