Biesbesbos

Forest, peace and climate
The Biesbesbos is a young forest that was created thanks to a major planting campaign undertaken by volunteers in 2009. Various youth groups, the local school and residents of Boechout all did their part. They also named the new forest. It is a recreational forest but at the same time a forest dedicated to peace and an effort to improve the climate. The planting consisted mainly of native trees and plants. When it has grown into a real forest, the Biesbesbos will primarily be a place where children and young people can develop in a healthy and green environment.

The role of Kempens Landschap
The forest is owned by the family of Jacques Reynders. After it was planted, its management was assigned to Kempens Landschap.
