Fruythout
Open space
In the municipality of Hove, there has traditionally been an open space – known as Fruythout – located here. It is in the source area of the Koude Beek, which runs through Mortsel and Borsbeek.
The role of Kempens Landschap
The municipality of Hove wants to preserve the unity of this open space. Therefore, our organisation bought parcels adjacent to the municipality’s property in 2014 and 2015. This will prevent the area from becoming fragmented so that it can be managed as a whole.
